Quest Diagnostics reported a cyber breach of its Quanum Lab Services Manager platform, which allows clients to place test orders and access results, with "certain patient records" potentially compromised. The company discovered the hack on Wednesday and has notified federal law enforcement while working with external cybersecurity experts, though the full scope of affected patients and records remains under investigation. This is not the first such incident for Quest, which has previously experienced breaches affecting tens of millions of patient records in 2016 and 2019.
