South Korean AI chip startup FuriosaAI has expanded into Europe, deploying its power-efficient RNGD AI accelerators at Equinix's datacenter in Lisbon, Portugal, to meet growing demand for sovereign AI compute. The RNGD cards are notable for their low 180W power consumption compared to rivals like Nvidia, and can run large enterprise AI models in standard air-cooled datacenter racks. T-Mobile Is Dragging Broadcom to Court Over VMware Support It Paid For
T-Mobile has filed a lawsuit against Broadcom in a New York court, arguing that Broadcom was contractually obligated to continue supporting its VMware perpetual licenses after the company attempted to renew support for a third year at around $5.28 million but was refused. The dispute stems from Broadcom's acquisition of VMware, after which it discontinued perpetual licenses in favour of more expensive subscription bundles. A judge has granted T-Mobile a temporary injunction allowing it to receive support through August 2026, while the company continues migrating tens of thousands of virtual machines off VMware — a complex process involving over 1,000 applications.
