Oligo Security Pulls In $60M to Guard Apps at Runtime
Tel Aviv-based Oligo Security has closed a $60 million funding round, pushing its total raised to $140 million. Ballistic Ventures led the charge, joined by Canon Capital, Greenfield Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Red Dot Capital, TLV Partners, and a handful of angels.
Founded in 2022, Oligo builds runtime security infrastructure covering application code, cloud workloads, and AI systems. The pitch is straightforward: rather than trying to catch everything before deployment, watch what actually executes in production and act on that.
The platform offers real-time visibility into code execution, which lets it block exploit attempts as they happen, rank vulnerabilities by actual runtime risk rather than theoretical severity scores, and automate responses without someone needing to pull an all-nighter.
The time between a vulnerability being disclosed and someone weaponising it has collapsed dramatically, and Oligo is betting that runtime interception is the more reliable last line of defence. The platform can also intercept supply chain attacks and provide virtual patching, buying security teams larger windows to apply proper fixes without scrambling to push emergency patches at 2am.
Ballistic Ventures partner Jake Seid put it plainly: 'Runtime is where the business lives. It's where revenue is generated, customers interact with applications, and brand reputation is won or lost.' He also noted that Oligo had 'solved one of security's hardest problems' by protecting production environments without forcing a trade-off between security and uptime.
The new capital will go toward product development and expanding sales operations globally. For a three-year-old company already at $140 million raised, the investor appetite suggests the runtime security category is being taken seriously, even if the broader security market is hardly short of well-funded contenders.
